Real vs fake Telegram members: what each label means

Channel subscribers or group members?

Sellers use "members", "subscribers" and "followers" for the same thing, but Telegram has two different spaces. A channel is for broadcasting to a large audience and can have an unlimited number of subscribers. A group is for conversation and can hold up to 200,000 members.

This changes what you should buy. Channel subscribers mostly read, so a big channel with quiet subscribers looks normal. In a group people talk, so a group of 20,000 where nobody ever writes a message is easy to spot. If you are growing a group, plan to start conversations yourself while the numbers rise.

At SMM-World the same order works for both. You paste the public link to your channel or group, choose an amount and pay.

The labels sellers use

What each label usually means, and what to ask

None of these words has an official definition. Ask the seller what they mean by each one before you pay.

Common Telegram member labels, what they usually mean and what to ask the seller
Real membersAccounts that people use, with a name, often a photo, and normal activityAsk the seller: Are these accounts people use, or new accounts with no history?
Fake or bot membersAccounts created in bulk that nobody logs in toAsk the seller: Why is the price so far below other sellers? That gap is usually the answer.
Non-dropA promise to replace members who leave within a set period. Members can still leave.Ask the seller: How long is the guarantee, and is the refill automatic or do I have to ask?
Premium membersAccounts with a paid Telegram Premium subscription, which shows a star badgeAsk the seller: Do you mean Telegram Premium accounts, or just a more expensive package?
Targeted membersAccounts from a chosen country or languageAsk the seller: Which countries are available, and what happens if some members are from elsewhere?
Free membersExchange apps and bots where you join other channels to get joins backAsk the seller: Does it want my phone number or a login code? If so, stop there.

Why fake members cost more than they save

Every channel post shows how many times it was viewed. A channel with 10,000 subscribers and 40 views per post looks empty to exactly the people you want to impress: new visitors deciding whether to join, and advertisers deciding whether to pay for a post. Bot accounts don't open anything, so the gap between subscribers and views grows with every bot you add.

Bot accounts also tend to disappear. Telegram deletes accounts that don't come online for a set period, 18 months by default, and bulk-made accounts that nobody logs in to fall under that rule. A seller without a refill guarantee won't replace them.

Real accounts cost more because someone uses them. That still doesn't mean every real member reads every post. People mute channels and leave groups, so expect some movement in the numbers whoever you buy from. That is what the refill guarantee is for.

What Telegram's rules say

Telegram's terms of service are short. Users agree not to send spam or scam people, not to promote violence or post illegal pornographic content in public channels, and not to take part in activities that are illegal in most countries. The terms don't mention buying members.

That isn't an endorsement, and no seller can promise how Telegram will treat a channel. What the terms make clear is that growth through spam is a problem. If a service adds members by mass-inviting or messaging strangers, the channel ends up tied to the kind of activity Telegram prohibits. Ask how members join before you order.

How to get Telegram members for free

There are honest ways to grow without paying for members, and they work well next to a paid order.

Swap posts with channels of a similar size in your topic, so each of you introduces the other to an interested audience. Put your channel link where your audience already is: your Instagram bio, your YouTube descriptions, your website and your email signature. Give the channel a public username so people can find it by name. Post on a regular schedule, because a channel that went quiet two weeks ago gives a new visitor no reason to join.

If you want to pay Telegram directly, Telegram Ads is the official route. Anyone can advertise, and you choose the channels your ad appears in.

Avoid member-exchange bots. The members they bring tend to leave once the exchange ends, and some of these tools ask for your phone number or a login code, which gives them access to your account.

Quick answers

Common questions about buying Telegram members

Are bought Telegram members real people?
It depends on the seller. At SMM-World they are real accounts. Real means someone uses the account. It doesn't guarantee that every member reads every post.
Can Telegram ban my channel for buying members?
Telegram's terms don't mention buying members. They prohibit spam and scams, and Telegram can act on channels that break its rules. No seller can promise how Telegram will treat a channel.
Do I have to make anyone an admin?
No. A member order only needs the public link. Never give a seller admin rights, your phone number or a login code.
Will members leave after I buy them?
Some may, as with any audience. At SMM-World, members who leave during the guarantee period are refilled automatically.
Does the same order work for a group?
Yes. Paste the public link to your channel or group. In a group, start conversations yourself, because a large group where nobody writes looks odd.
Do more members mean more views on my posts?
Not automatically. Members and post views are counted separately. If you want views on a specific post, that's a separate Telegram views order.
