Short-form video safe-zone checker
See whether faces, captions, logos and calls to action survive the interface around Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Drop in a local image or video and switch platform overlays; the file stays inside your browser.
Add a local image or video to check its composition.
Keep faces, captions, logos and calls to action inside this rectangle. The tinted edges represent likely interface and crop pressure.
Allow room for titles, captions and app navigation.
Keep key details away from reaction and sharing controls.
Place the message, face and product inside the green boundary.
Privacy by design: this tool creates a temporary local browser URL for the preview, sends no file to SMM World, stores nothing and revokes that URL when you replace or leave the preview.
These are deliberately conservative planning guides, not pixel-exact platform guarantees. Interface positions vary by device, placement, account state and platform updates; always test a draft in the native app before publishing.
How this is calculated
The preview uses a 9:16, 1080 × 1920 working canvas. Each preset places a deliberately conservative inner boundary around likely top navigation, bottom captions and side action controls. Meta and TikTok explicitly recommend vertical 9:16 creative with key elements inside safe zones; YouTube classifies square or vertical videos up to three minutes as Shorts, while its viewing controls vary by device.
The percentages are SMM World's planning guides, not official pixel-perfect templates: Instagram reserves 14% top, 20% bottom, 6% left and 18% right; TikTok 10%, 22%, 6% and 20%; YouTube 8%, 24%, 6% and 18%. Interfaces change with device, caption length, placement and platform releases, so the final check must always be a native-app draft. Files are previewed through a temporary local object URL and never uploaded.

Common questions
What is the safe zone for a 1080 × 1920 video?
It is the inner area least likely to be covered by navigation, captions and reaction controls. There is no permanent universal rectangle: each platform and device can shift the interface, which is why this checker uses conservative platform presets and recommends a native draft test.
Does this upload my video?
No. Your browser creates a temporary local URL for the selected file. The tool makes no upload or API request, stores nothing and revokes the preview URL when the file changes or the page closes.
Can I use one composition for Reels, TikTok and Shorts?
Usually, if the central message, face, product and captions all fit inside the most conservative green boundary. Switch through all three presets before exporting and avoid placing irreplaceable details near any edge.
Protect the creative, then earn the view
Once the composition survives every interface, give the finished Reel, TikTok or Short the audience signal it was built for.
